Slice lime into wedges. Moisten rims of serving glasses with one lime wedge each. Dip rims into a mixture of sugar and salt on a small plate to coat edges. Set aside.

In a pitcher, combine prepared limeade, simple syrup, pomegranate juice, and fresh lime juice. Stir thoroughly. Adjust sweetness or tartness by adding extra simple syrup or lime juice to taste.

Fill each glass one-third to halfway with ice cubes. Evenly pour the pomegranate-limeade mixture over ice.

Top each glass with club soda for fizz. Garnish with a fresh basil leaf (gently pressed to release aroma), a lime wedge, and sprinkle pomegranate seeds over the top.

Before drinking, plunge the basil leaf into the drink and squeeze the lime wedge over the top to enhance fresh flavor. Serve immediately.
