01 -
Preheat oven to 400°F. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly. Take a portion of the mixture, flatten it slightly, place a cube of mozzarella in the center, then roll into a ball, sealing the cheese inside.
02 -
Arrange meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 18 to 20 minutes until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove and let cool slightly before decorating.
03 -
While meatballs bake, cook spaghetti in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Optionally add a few drops of red or green food coloring to the water. Drain and toss with olive oil to prevent sticking.
04 -
Warm marinara sauce over medium heat in a skillet or saucepan. Add cooked spaghetti, tossing to coat evenly. Keep warm.
05 -
Once meatballs have cooled slightly, attach a small round mozzarella piece and a sliced black olive on each to create monster eyes. Use a small amount of sauce or mayonnaise to secure if needed.
06 -
Place the spaghetti on a large serving platter. Nestle meatballs on top and drizzle additional sauce if desired. Serve warm.
