Spiced Egg Muffin Toast (Printable Version)

A flavorful twist with spiced eggs, melted cheese, and toasted English muffins for a satisfying bite.

# What You'll Need:

→ Bread

01 - 2 English muffins, split

→ Dairy

02 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
03 - 2 slices cheddar cheese or Swiss cheese

→ Eggs & Spices

04 - 4 large eggs
05 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
06 - 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
07 - 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
08 - 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
09 - Pinch salt
10 - Pinch black pepper

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Heat 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until melted.
02 - Crack the eggs into the skillet and gently break the yolks with a spatula. Sprinkle cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cloves, salt, and black pepper evenly over the eggs.
03 - Place English muffin halves, cut-side down, onto the uncooked side of the eggs, ensuring direct contact. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until eggs are mostly set and muffin bottoms are lightly toasted.
04 - Carefully flip the entire egg-muffin assembly so the muffins are on the skillet and eggs face upward.
05 - Place one slice of cheddar or Swiss cheese on each egg portion.
06 - Fold the cooked edges of the eggs over the muffins, then press the muffin halves together to form sandwiches.
07 - Add remaining 1 tablespoon butter to the pan and toast sandwiches on both sides until golden and cheese melts, approximately 2 minutes per side.
08 - Transfer sandwiches to plates and serve immediately while hot.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Use a wide spatula to flip the entire assembly carefully to prevent breaking the eggs.
