Halloween Mummy Pizza (Printable Version)

Mozzarella and pepperoni pizza, braided in dough strips for a festive Halloween treat full of spooky charm.

# What You'll Need:

→ Pizza Base

01 - 14 ounces refrigerated pizza dough (1 can, such as Pillsbury) or equivalent homemade pizza dough

→ Toppings

02 - 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce or marinara sauce
03 - 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
04 - 40 slices pepperoni
05 - 1 black olive

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Set oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Place pizza dough onto parchment paper on a clean work surface. Evenly spread pizza sauce over the middle vertical half of the dough.
03 - Distribute shredded mozzarella cheese across the sauced area, then layer pepperoni slices in a single layer covering the cheese.
04 - Using a paring knife, make 1-inch wide diagonal slits along both long sides of the dough, extending from the sauce-covered area out to the edges.
05 - Fold the bottom dough strips inward over the filling. Braid strips alternately up and over the filling for a wrapped effect, leaving space at the top for the eyes. Continue braiding to shape the mummy's head.
06 - Spoon additional pizza sauce into the empty space at the top. Cut black olive in half and place halves on the sauce to form eyes.
07 - Transfer the prepared pizza, using the parchment, to the baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes until the dough is golden brown and fully cooked.
08 - Remove from oven and serve warm.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For best results, use a chilled nonstick baking sheet to prevent sticking and ensure even browning.
