Soft brownies with a gooey caramel center and chocolate chip topping for a rich treat.

# What You'll Need:

→ Caramel Center

01 - 11 ounces Kraft caramels
02 - ⅓ cup evaporated milk

→ Brownies

03 - 18 ounces brownie mix
04 - 1 to 2 large eggs
05 - ½ cup vegetable oil
06 - 3 tablespoons water
07 - ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9x9 inch baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.
02 - Combine unwrapped caramels and evaporated milk in a small saucepan. Heat over medium, stirring constantly until caramels are fully melted and mixture is smooth, about 5 to 7 minutes.
03 - In a medium mixing bowl, thoroughly blend brownie mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water until uniform.
04 - Spread two-thirds of the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
05 - Dollop caramel mixture evenly over the brownie batter, avoiding spreading it into the batter layer.
06 - Place dollops of the remaining brownie batter over the caramel layer to cover it partially.
07 - Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Immediately sprinkle semi-sweet chocolate chips on the hot brownies.
08 - Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into portions.
