Caesar Chicken with Asparagus (Print-Friendly Version)

Seared chicken and asparagus baked with Caesar dressing and Parmesan for a simple, flavorful main dish.

# List of Ingredients:

01 - 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
02 - Salt, to taste
03 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
04 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
05 - 240 ml Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
06 - 50 grams grated Parmesan cheese
07 - 450 grams asparagus spears, trimmed
08 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
09 - Lemon wedges, for garnish

# How to Prepare:

01 - Preheat the oven to 190°C to ensure consistent cooking throughout the dish.
02 - Season both sides of the chicken breasts generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
03 - Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the seasoned chicken breasts for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove the skillet from the heat.
04 - Pour Caesar dressing over the seared chicken breasts, ensuring each piece is well coated. Evenly sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
05 - Nestle the trimmed asparagus spears around the chicken breasts in the skillet. Sprinkle the asparagus with garlic powder and, if desired, additional Parmesan.
06 - Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 74°C and the asparagus is tender-crisp.
07 - Remove the dish from the oven and allow it to rest briefly. Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving for added brightness.

# Additional Information:

01 - For a lighter variation, substitute reduced-fat Caesar dressing or prepare a homemade version with Greek yogurt.
02 - Adding lemon juice prior to serving enhances the dish's freshness and balances its richness.
