Smoky baked beans with savory bacon and tangy sauce baked for tender, flavorful results.

# What You'll Need:

→ Meat

01 - 1 pound bacon

→ Vegetables

02 - 1 medium white onion, diced

→ Canned Goods

03 - 4 cans pork and beans (14-ounce cans, total 56 ounces)

→ Condiments

04 - ¼ cup ketchup
05 - ½ cup barbecue sauce
06 - 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
07 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

→ Sweeteners

08 - ½ cup brown sugar

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Set oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
02 - In a large 12-inch frying pan, cook bacon until crisp. Remove and chop into small pieces. Reserve 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in pan and discard the rest.
03 - Add diced onion to pan with reserved bacon grease and cook over medium-high heat until tender, about 5 minutes.
04 - Stir in ketchup, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and cooked bacon. Simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.
05 - Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Pour in beans and remove ½ cup of the liquid from the cans. Add sauce mixture to beans and stir thoroughly.
06 - Cover dish with lid or aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
07 - Remove cover and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes to thicken sauce.
08 - Let the beans rest for 20 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken further before serving.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Removing some liquid from the beans prevents the dish from becoming too soupy.
