01 -
Preheat oven according to brownie mix package instructions. Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
02 -
Prepare the brownies as directed on the package, substituting ¼ cup water with ¼ cup Baileys Irish Cream if desired. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake accordingly. Remove and cool completely.
03 -
In a mixing bowl, beat softened butter, vanilla extract, and sifted powdered sugar until combined. With mixer on low, slowly add 2 tablespoons Baileys Irish Cream and continue beating. Add heavy cream one tablespoon at a time until frosting is fluffy and smooth.
04 -
Evenly spread the buttercream over the cooled brownies using an offset spatula. Chill in the freezer while preparing ganache.
05 -
Combine ⅓ cup heavy whipping cream with 2 tablespoons Baileys Irish Cream in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 45-60 seconds until just simmering. Pour hot cream over chocolate chips and let sit for 3 to 4 minutes, then stir until smooth.
06 -
Spread ganache evenly over chilled buttercream layer. Allow to set on the countertop for 45-60 minutes or refrigerate for about 15 minutes.
07 -
Lift brownies from pan using parchment paper flaps, cut into squares, and serve immediately.
