Apple Cinnamon Rolls Fall Treat (Printable Version)

Cinnamon rolls stuffed with apples and spices make an irresistible treat for cozy autumn days.

# What You'll Need:

→ Dough

01 - 1 (12.4 ounce) tube refrigerated cinnamon rolls with included icing

→ Filling

02 - 2 cups Granny Smith apples, finely diced
03 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
04 - 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
05 - 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
06 - 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Generously coat a muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.
02 - Peel and finely dice the apples. In a small bowl, combine diced apples, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Mix until evenly coated.
03 - Remove cinnamon rolls from packaging. Using a rolling pin or your fingers, flatten each cinnamon roll into a disk approximately 7–8 cm in diameter.
04 - Fit each flattened cinnamon roll disk into a muffin cup, pressing gently to form a shallow well.
05 - Fill each cinnamon roll cup with a generous spoonful of prepared apple mixture. Gently press filling to compact it slightly.
06 - Transfer muffin tin to preheated oven and bake for 13–15 minutes or until cinnamon rolls are golden brown and the apple filling is bubbling.
07 - Remove from oven and allow to cool in tin for 5 minutes. Drizzle reserved icing over warm apple cinnamon rolls before serving.
08 - Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For best results, use crisp, tart apples such as Granny Smith to balance the sweetness.
