Easy Air Fryer Apple Fritters (Print-Friendly Version)

Crisp, gluten-free apple fritters with sweet spices and fresh apples. Perfectly light thanks to air frying.

→ Dry Ingredients

01 - 190 g gluten-free flour blend
02 - 55 g brown sugar
03 - 2.5 teaspoons baking powder
04 - 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
05 - 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice

→ Wet Ingredients

06 - 2 large eggs
07 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
08 - 3 large apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
09 - 28 g unsalted butter, melted
10 - Juice of 1/2 lemon

→ For Cooking

11 - Coconut oil spray

→ Optional Glaze

12 - 60 g powdered sugar
13 - 15 ml almond milk

# How to Prepare:

01 - Set air fryer to 205°C and preheat for 5 minutes.
02 - Peel, core, and chop the apples. Toss with lemon juice and melted butter. Set aside.
03 - In a bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour blend, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and pumpkin spice.
04 - In a separate bowl, gently beat the eggs. Add vanilla and fold in the apple mixture.
05 - Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Stir until just combined. If batter is too thick, add a splash of milk to loosen.
06 - Spoon heaping portions of batter onto the preheated air fryer basket lined with parchment. Lightly spray tops with coconut oil spray.
07 - Cook fritters for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden and set. Transfer to a cooling rack and allow to cool.
08 - Mix powdered sugar with almond milk until smooth. Drizzle over cooled fritters.

# Additional Information:

01 - If dough is too dry, incorporate an additional teaspoon of milk and mix until workable.
02 - Test a single fritter first to calibrate air fryer timing and temperature accuracy.
03 - Allow fritters to cool completely on a wire rack before storage.
04 - Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for a maximum of 3 days.
